Mr. Umberto Di Pasquo, Senior Policy Advisor of COPA COGECA was a key guest of the broadcast and referred to the way in which new technologies contribute to a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector. More specifically, he talked about innovation in the agricultural sector, and the way in which digital tools can contribute to its transformation.

Mr. Di Pasquo highlighted that “IoT technologies provide farmers with excellent tools to monitor irrigation, soil quality, pests and other parameters“, also noting that “value does not come from the data collected by a farmer, since a large amount of data needs to be accumulated“.
