“Sustainable growth and food – Our common future” is the title of the Workshop organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Greece in collaboration with the University of Crete on Wednesday 19th of June in Heraklion, Crete.
The aim of the event is to highlight the challenges faced in the management of the agri-food sector, starting with the research on green crops, the management and ultimately the consumption, as well as to present digital and technological solutions that contribute to the sustainability of the agrifood sector.
Crete was chosen as the location of the Workshop due to its tradition in agricultural production, its leading position in organic farming, as well as the high consumption of agricultural products thanks to the constantly increasing tourism.
Charlotte Sammelin, Ambassador of Sweden to Greece, and Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs of the University of Crete Dr. John Karakasis will introduce participants to the Workshop. The event is expected to encompass members of the academic community, researchers, and representatives of the agrifood sector as well as relevant research projects.
NEUROPUBLIC is among the invited speakers of the workshop and will present how the gaiasense smart farming system contributes to the sustainability of agricultural production.
The event will take place between 14:00-18:00 in the “Kastellaki” Hall of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
